I’m a passionate traveller who enjoys the written word. Guided by a sense of curiosity and adventure I’ve wanted to explore the world for as long as I can remember. From a small boy looking to the skies in wonder to today where the next take off is always on the horizon.

As a travel enthusiast to the U.S.A. I enjoy the sharing of American travel stories and unveiling all her travel secrets.

You can work pretty much where you want to – on the road, do you find it hard to work or do you just have fun and work when you come back home?

A bit of both - as long as there is a good internet connection then I'm all set to blog on the road. Some days when you experience something so fantastic you just can't wait to share it with the world and I will have half the article in my head before I'm back in front of the computer.

But when travelling I'm always storing ideas, talking to local people, taking photos and jotting down notes. There are unique angles in every story and one subject can be told in multiple ways. So, often I bring a wealth of information home with me so I can create an article upon return.

Do you feel many people are envious of your lifestyle?

Sometimes, yes. For me personally I have a full time job in the travel writing field looking after various writers and journalists by day for different travel brands and spend the evenings and weekends working on my own blog - I do travel often though and my Dad wants me to wear an ankle bracelet so he can keep track of where in the world I am haha.

But on the other hand I have some friends that think I'm crazy for travelling as much as I do. But as a nomad, travel is just part of my DNA!

In which countries have people recognised you, even when you thought nobody would?

Haha that would be zero! I would love it if someone did but I guess the thing about blogging is it can be quite anonymous at times. While your name is recognised on occasion it's your writing that people are more familiar with.

Which three items would you never travel without?

I still struggle with packing to this day! But three must haves are definitely:

iPhone - even in the most remote parts of the world the trusty old iPhone can still take an awesome photo and apps can entertain you on long journeys by bus or plane. A lot of my images are captured on the iPhone when ever an opportunity arises and often I will download a newspaper when I have access to take with me.

Laptop / iPad - I do like to stay connected whenever I can and these items will always allow me to upload a blog on the road.

Pen and notebook - you just never know when you see something you need to write down. I have a memory like a sift so this helps jog the memory come the time of writing. Especially around quotes or the times you just happen to be chatting to a local for information.

Can I add a fourth? If so my toothbrush!! Even when in the most remote part of the world and I haven't showered in 3 days, nothing will make me feel fresh like simply brushing my teeth!

Are there any specific souvenirs or other things you collect from the places you go to?

I have a few paintings collected from different parts of the world we've travelled too including Japan, Hong Kong, Argentina, Haiti and a few others. I love supporting the local culture where I can and finding something personal to remind me of a favourite destination. Often these items are found in market places or from street vendors. I can also remember vividly where I purchased each item and the story behind it.
