Ankita Sinha

Life for me is travel and travel for me is life. I blog at Ankionthemove and make personalized videos of my sweet salt and sugary travel experiences along with a conversational write up. A travel ninja who got wheels on her heels with bring-it-on attitude, and kicking alive for new challenges and new places.

I love meeting people, and digging deep into their lives. I write about adventure sports and people in adventure sports. I also write about how I travel on a budget and you can too.

You can work pretty much where you want to – on the road, do you find it hard to work or do you just have fun and work when you come back home?

The difference is simply a state of mind. At home the ambiance is more relaxed and the internet faster. On the road, the connectivity is not that great. The idea is to balance. As my travel blog is based on travel videos and write ups, I generally come back home and complete the video editing ,while I keep on posting tweets and Facebook updates on road.

Do you feel many people are envious of your lifestyle?

With every new place I travel, a new list of envy follows behind. “I wish we could afford to travel…" is what people say.

In which countries have people recognised you, even when you thought nobody would?

It's my own country India. While video shooting a popular excursion from Bangalore, a few strangers thought me as a part of TV crew. Poses, fake smiles and requests to be interviewed followed. It took me considerable time to explain to them that we are here for fun and not the paparazzi.

Which three items would you never travel without?

Camera for great pictures, sunscreen for tan prevention and a light jacket in case it gets a little cold.

Are there any specific souvenirs or other things you collect from the places you go to?

Being a lady, I am a die hard fan of shopping. Be it any place, I make sure that I get back either a memento, traditional attire or a piece of jewellery I like. It should be unique, and should belong to that place.
