Jmayel Sacha El-haj

A Man, Woman and Dog seeking happiness through travel adventure. Sacha, Jmayel & Eden packed up their lives in the UK to create Cinematic Travel Videos about their experiences and digitally capture the world in their own unique style.

You can work pretty much where you want to – on the road, do you find it hard to work or do you just have fun and work when you come back home?

It's pretty difficult to balance fun and work when having fun is your work. They blend together sometimes and you don't realize how much you enjoyed a place until you look back over the photos and notes. On the flip side sometimes we just go on holiday, then realize we have a tonne of footage, photos and articles to write about that experience without planning for it to become a blog post.

Do you feel many people are envious of your lifestyle?

Some people are envious of what they think our lifestyle is. But the reality is we work harder now than we ever have before and make less money too. That will change as the blog grows but for now its a pretty tough life despite what others might think.

In which countries have people recognised you, even when you thought nobody would?

Just Thailand at the moment. We make Cinematic Travel Videos about our adventure and we have been approached by 3 people in 4 months. It's a rather strange sensation and we often don't know how to process the accolade. But so far it has been an all positive experience and helps us with the drive to carry on blogging and vlogging.

Which three items would you never travel without?

Video capable SLR cameras because we make videos of everything we do for work now. Our wallets because they are the lifeline of our travels. And more recently we have become very fond of carrying a compass around, even when we are not in the jungle or mountains a compass has come in really handy because the maps in Thailand are useless!

Are there any specific souvenirs or other things you collect from the places you go to?

Stones and shells that look like hearts. Sacha and I collect heart stones from around the world. Sometimes they are huge so it's a pretty heavy souvenir collection.
