What was your first travel experience?

As a kid I was very lucky to travel as my father worked in the Middle East. My first really big trip (not just something like Disney World) was spending the summer in Saudi Arabia when I was in 5th grade.

Where in your opinion is the best place to spend a summer holiday?

The best place to spend a summer holiday is somewhere hot, near water, where you can stay busy. Everyone has their own preference for "vacation" but I think being in Beirut was by far my favorite summer holiday. Somewhere with the ocean that is relaxing, but also with a culture to absorb and learn from.

Describe a travel experience that changed your life.

Spending the summer in Lebanon. I fell in love with Beirut and the culture. I can't wait to go back.

What country's stamp do you most want to add to your passport?

I would really love a stamp from Brazil or South Africa. Those two countries are on the top of my list.

What was your best meal while traveling?

In Bali's touristy town Nusa Dua, we found a quaint restaurant on the beach owned by an Australian woman married to a Balinese man. It was the best meal I have ever eaten. It was called Kendi Kuning.
