Valentina Dainelli

My name is Valentina, I’m 30-something and a travel food writer. I run a blog about unconventional Tuscany called TooMuchTuscany. There you’ll find information and tips to discover off-the-beaten-track Tuscany covering events, legends, stories and of course food.

I also develop apps for iPhone and Android to visit the most beautiful villages in Tuscany. The most downloaded and famous is TooMuchSanGimignano, an audio-guide about the medieval hamlet of San Gimignano, also known as the Medieval Manhattan. In this guide you’ll find conventional info about museums & parkings and unconventional info about legends, food & peculiarities of the village.

You can work pretty much where you want to – on the road, do you find it hard to work or do you just have fun and work when you come back home?

Both of them. I work pretty much everywhere, especially when I come back home.

Do you feel many people are envious of your lifestyle?

I don't think so.

In which countries have people recognised you, even when you thought nobody would?

Italy.

Which three items would you never travel without?

My MacBook, camera and iPhone.

Are there any specific souvenirs or other things you collect from the places you go to?

Magnets and mugs.
